Why transfer 35mm slides to DVD?
At the time, making slides seemed like a great idea. There really was no good way to present photographs in a way everyone could easily see, so it was a great innovation for those seriously interested in photography. Over the years, though, they have lost their appeal. Perhaps the final nail in the coffin was the advent of digital photography, which did not produce the negatives to make slides. Instead, created virtual slideshows on their computers out of their photographs. Parrot Video can transfer 35mm slides to DVD as well so you can enjoy your older photographs in the same way you enjoy your digital pictures. You can leave the projectors, the bulbs and boxes behind and easily transfer your DVD anywhere to share your photographs! Dont forget to bring or send in your old film reels and tapes to transfer film to DVD. Protect your memories!
The slides to DVD transfer process
When Parrot Video transfers your slides to DVD, we will follow the order you predetermine. Simply bring the slides numbered and stacked into manageable bundles of between 30 and 40 (you can simply use a rubber band to hold them together). Using two projectors, each picture will be on the screen for 7 seconds with a 2 second dissolve into the next. Background music is added at no additional charge.
When transferring slides to DVD, remember that approximately 1,000 slides will fit on a single DVD! Your disk will be able to be viewed on DVD players and computers with DVD drives. It is important to note, however, that vertical slides will lose about 10% of the top and bottom in order to fit a video screen. If transferring 35mm slides to DVD is not convenient for you, Parrot Video is also able to transfer to VHS tape. Thats not all, bring in your old home videos and convert film to DVD. The more time that passes the less quality your film will retain, and the less quality we will be able to move over to time friendly digital media.
