Many of us have irreplaceable memories of years past on 8mm film. Although it was great in its time, the old-fashioned home movie film is not the best way to view these memories anymore. The films wear out and there are fewer and fewer 8mm movie projectors to be found. 8mm film transfer to video formats such as VHS or DVD allows you easy access to those images of holidays and family moments on equipment you use almost every day. The days of pulling the projector out of storage, hoping the bulb still works and remembering how the darn thing even works will be over. Also, your films will be saved the further strain of running through the projector.

8mm film transfer to video at Parrot Video Services is performed by people that understand that your film is unique. The 8mm film will be cleaned, repaired and any black or blank spots will be removed. The film will then be returned to you in plastic shrink-wrap to protect it from the elements. The video of your film will be flicker free. With the film transfer service Parrot's technicians will enhance images or correct the color in the film footage as needed and add background music for free, if desired. If you are lucky enough to have film that includes sound, it will be transferred to your video at no additional cost.

Parrot Video is able to transfer your precious 8mm film to DVD, VHS videotape or even mini DV (the common format used in today's camcorders). You can choose the format that is best for you to easily access these family treasures without further fear of damaging the film itself. If you choose to move your 8mm film to DVD there will be a $20 charge to master the DVD but this is per project and is only $20 no matter how many DVDs you are receiving. By using DVDs you will have the added convenience of being able to go to the exact scene you want when you view your films.
